I agree with you, they played to the whole don't trade Reyes thing and thought keeping him would help raise attendance. It didn't work out and now they are screwed with the draft picks. You are very right if Beltran got em wheeler , Reyes definitely would have gotten more. -eddie

actually eddie the smart move was to trade him before he got hurt. They absolutely knew that after the season they weren't going to be able to afford him even if he only signed for 90 million dollars.

Before he got hurt, they should have moved him and Beltran to the Giants. Gary Brown, Zach Wheeler, Francisco Peguero, Eric Surkamp and possibly a reliever would have been a good haul. Now they made their money and get a possible 3rd or 4th round pick alongside a supplemental pick. Only good news is the mets in 2013.

Watch out, the Mets could reach 85 wins this year. Will that be enough to compete for the Wild Card? That is the question. Visit www.metsnews.net

Just another little thing to point out about March 1st. They are doing a special four part series on the ’86 Mets on MSG if you are curious enough to check it out, I’d be interested in hearing what you think about it.

Couldn't agree more. Won't be measured in wins/loses, it'll be about the fight. Get rid of the dead weight pansies and give me 25 guys that fight for every out, even if they lose a 100 games, then build from there.
