It didn't work out and now they are screwed with the draft picks. They absolutely knew that after the season they weren't going to be able to afford him even if he only signed for 90 million dollars. Before he got hurt, they should have moved him and Beltran to the Giants. Gary Brown, Zach Wheeler, Francisco Peguero, Eric Surkamp and possibly a reliever would have been a good haul. Now they made their money and get a possible 3rd or 4th round pick alongside a supplemental pick.
